Race Info
The Taiyuan Marathon is an annual marathon and half marathon held in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi province in northern China. The race began in 2010 and reached World Athletics Gold Label status starting with the 2025 edition. The course starts at Wuyi Square on Yingze Street, heads west toward the Fen River, follows the riverside Binhe roads for its middle miles, and finishes on Changxing North Street near the Jinyang Lake International Convention Center. The 2026 race is set for September 27, with a field capped at 40,000 runners split between the marathon and half marathon.
