Race Info
The Guangzhou Marathon is an annual marathon and half marathon in Guangzhou, China, first held in November 2012. It has carried World Athletics Gold Label status since 2018 and is organized under the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government with the Chinese Athletics Association as certifying body. The course starts at the south plaza of Tianhe Sports Center and follows both banks of the Pearl River, passing Liede Bridge and Canton Tower before finishing near Haixinsha Island. Ethiopia's Gebise Debele set the men's course record of 2:06:28 in 2024.
