Railway Half Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential, warming through the race
A cool 44°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temperatures rising to 59°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing.

Race Info
The Half Marathon starts and finishes at Black Creek Park in Fultondale and follows the Five Mile Creek Greenway, a rails-to-trails path, out and back through Fultondale, Gardendale and Brookside. The organizers describe the course as relatively flat and fast, and it is USATF-certified. The marathon is two loops of this same route, so both distances share one course and one certification.
