Railway 50K
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential, warming through the race
A cool 44°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temperatures rising to 59°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing.

Race Info
The 50K is run on the Five Mile Creek Greenway, a rails-to-trails path through Fultondale, Gardendale and Brookside, starting and finishing at Black Creek Park in Fultondale. The distance is covered as four out-and-back segments that each return to the start and finish area, with turnarounds at the Cornerstone Ranch water stop and at the 5K turnaround. It is held on the Saturday of race weekend with the marathon and half marathon, on a relatively flat course.
