Akahai 10K
Akahai 10K race day weather
Warm start
A warm 75°F start means heat management is critical — consider dialing back your goal pace by 10-20 sec/mi. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 74% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

About the Akahai 10K
The 10K starts and finishes at Wai Kai in Ewa Beach on Oahu's Leeward Coast. It follows Keone'ula Boulevard past the Hoakalei Country Club golf course, turns north at Kamakana Street and runs through the Hoakalei development onto Geiger Road. About half a mile along Geiger Road runners turn around and return to Wai Kai. The course is flat and mostly asphalt, with some soft-surface shoulder and a short stretch of concrete.
