Race Info
The Big Island International Marathon is held each March in Hilo, Hawaii. The marathon starts at 6:00 AM in the garage of the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel on Banyan Drive and finishes on the lawn behind the hotel. The course is two out-and-backs: one north along Highway 19 to a turnaround just past the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden, the other along Kalanianaole Avenue past the Onekahakaha and Richardson beach parks. A half marathon, 10K and 5K start from the same hotel the same morning, and the course closes at 1:00 PM. Source
