The Retro Run 10K
Race Day Weather
Warm start, warming through the race
A warm 71°F start means heat management is critical — consider dialing back your goal pace by 10-20 sec/mi. Temperatures rising to 86°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 70% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
The 10K is two laps of a 5K out-and-back route on the paved beach path at Alamitos Beach in Long Beach. It starts and finishes at the same spot, with the turnaround marked by a flag. The course is flat and never leaves the beach path, which stays open to other users, so runners stay on the pedestrian side.
