The Retro Run 10 Miler
Race Day Weather
Warm start, warming through the race, high humidity
A warm 71°F start means heat management is critical — consider dialing back your goal pace by 10-20 sec/mi. Temperatures rising to 83°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. High humidity (82%) will make it harder to cool down through sweat — increase fluid intake accordingly.

Race Info
The 10 Miler is two laps of a 5-mile out-and-back route along the paved beach path at Alamitos Beach in Long Beach. It starts and finishes at the same spot, with a turnaround at the end of each lap. The course is flat, runs beside the Pacific, and stays open to walkers and cyclists, so runners keep to the pedestrian side of the path.
