Race Info
The Taipei Freeway Marathon runs on an elevated section of National Freeway No. 1 between Wugu and Xizhi, one of the only sanctioned road races held on a closed freeway in Taiwan. The course starts near the Huanbei Interchange in Taipei's Datong District and gives runners a view of Songshan Airport takeoffs and landings from the elevated roadway. The marathon carries AIMS certification and serves as the Taiwan qualifying race for the Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group World Rankings series, with a 4-hour course time limit. A four-person, 5K-leg relay division was added in 2026 alongside the marathon and half marathon.
