Cool start — fast day potential, big temp swing
A cool 49°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temps will climb significantly to 68°F by later miles, so expect fading conditions as the race progresses. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing.
Taking place in Adams, Massachusetts, this event features an out-and-back marathon, half marathon, and 8K along the scenic Ashuwillticook Rail Trail. All three races start and finish at the Adams Visitors Center. The path is shared with the public during the event, so runners may encounter cyclists and pedestrians. The marathon has a strict 6-hour time limit. Proceeds from the race go toward a municipal fund dedicated to maintaining and expanding the rail trail for the local community. Source
