Cold start, watch for wind shifts
Runners will face temperatures starting at 38°F and rising to 40°F, with a feels-like temperature dropping to 29°F during pre-race. Winds will be a consistent crosswind up to 15 mph, shifting to headwind in miles 3 and 11-12, and tailwind in miles 7-8. Competitors should prepare for these wind changes and consider pacing adjustments, especially during headwind segments.

Race Info
Our annual race held on the 3rd Sunday in March and is one of the oldest half marathon distance events in the Northeast. We are managed by the 100% volunteer New Bedford Half Marathon Race Committee, Inc. along with our host organization, the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and with the wonderful support of the City of New Bedford.
