Silver Comet Half Marathon
Race Day Weather
Comfortable temps, big temp swing
Mild 55°F temps at gun time mean comfortable early miles without overheating risk. Temps will climb significantly to 73°F by later miles, so expect fading conditions as the race progresses. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 74% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
The Silver Comet Half Marathon is a 13.1-mile out-and-back on the paved Silver Comet Trail, a former railroad corridor west of Atlanta. It starts and finishes at the Silver Comet Trail Head on Floyd Road in Mableton, follows the trail west across a string of road crossings, and turns around between the Old Lost Mountain Road bridge and the Charles Harris overpass. The course has no turns, runs on the Saturday of race weekend alongside the marathon, and is USATF-certified.
