Run Jekyll, formerly the Jekyll Island Marathon, is a January race weekend on Jekyll Island, Georgia. The 5K and 10K run on Saturday and the half marathon and marathon run on Sunday, with the finish beside the Jekyll Island Club Resort in the Historic District. The marathon and half marathon courses are USATF-certified and the marathon is a Boston qualifier. The course passes through the Jekyll Island Club National Historic Landmark and along the island's marshes and beaches, and every event has a seven-hour time limit. Source
