Museum of Aviation Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cold start, strong winds ahead
Runners will face a chilly start at 33°F, with temperatures ranging from 30°F to 34°F throughout the race. Wind gusts up to 35 mph will create challenging headwinds in several segments, particularly in miles 1-5, 14-18, and 27. Runners should consider pacing conservatively early on and gear up for wind resistance, especially in exposed areas, while taking advantage of the tailwind from miles 7-11 and 20-24 for faster splits.
The 28th Annual Museum of Aviation Foundation Marathon, Half-Marathon, 5K Run/Walk, and Para Athletes Race will be held at the Museum of Aviation on Saturday, January 13, 2024. The races will be run on Robins Air Force Base next to the Museum of Aviation and are part of the 2022 Run & See Georgia Grand Prix Series. The marathon course is USA Track and Field certified (Boston Marathon qualifier). The half marathon is also USA Track and Field certified. Proceeds from the growing annual event benefit the Museum of Aviation, one of the largest education-focused aviation museums in the country. Source
