About the Saddleback Half Marathon
The Saddleback Half Marathon is an out-and-back trail race on the truck trail up Black Star Canyon in the Cleveland National Forest near Silverado, California. Runners follow the creek into the canyon, switchback up into the Mariposa Reserve and continue past the historic Indian village before turning around about a mile short of the ridge. The course is entirely on fire road and finishes where it starts, at the forest gate at the end of Black Star Canyon Road.
