The Ruidoso Half Marathon is the shorter Saturday race of the weekend, run over 13.1 miles in the Sacramento Mountains of Lincoln County, New Mexico. It starts and finishes at Enchanted Vine, a winery on Fort Stanton Road in Alto, north of the village of Ruidoso. The course stays in high country between roughly 6,900 and 7,250 feet, so the air is thin and the road rolls with the terrain.
