Race Info
The Ruidoso Marathon and Half Marathon is a high-altitude race in the Sacramento Mountains of southern New Mexico, run as part of the two-day Ruidoso RunFest weekend alongside a 47K/50K ultra option and a Friday-night 5K and kids' run. The 2026 edition is the 6th running of the marathon and half marathon. Flooding in Ruidoso in September 2026 forced organizers to move the Saturday races' start and finish to Fort Stanton, New Mexico, about 14 miles from the race's usual home at Wingfield Park. The Fort Stanton course sits at roughly 6,200 feet of elevation.
