Rain is likely — waterproof your phone and bib, and consider a disposable poncho for the corral. Moderate humidity at 75% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
The 50K is the newest distance of the North Country Trail Run and is held on the Sunday of race weekend in the Manistee National Forest near Wellston, Michigan. After an opening loop it follows the marathon and 50 mile trail, then leaves it between miles 16 and 17 for a stretch of trail no other distance uses, with a short out and back around mile 20. It rejoins the main course near mile 22 for switchbacks and steep descents, climbs the overlook hill near mile 30.5, and finishes with a descent to the start and finish area. The course gains about 4,800 feet.
