Leadville Trail Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cool morning, warming afternoon
Runners will face a temperature rise from 44°F at the start to a warm 70°F by race end. Winds will initially provide a tailwind but shift to headwinds during significant climbs, particularly from miles 7-9 and 15-16. With humidity at a manageable 53%, hydration should be prioritized, especially as temperatures peak. Adjust pacing strategy on climbs, particularly between miles 11-13 and 18-20, where conditions will be toughest.
