The Düsseldorf Marathon starts on Joseph-Beuys-Ufer along the Rhine and finishes at the Untere Rheinwerft near the Altstadt. The flat course crosses the Oberkassel Bridge to the river's west bank before returning through Königsallee and the MedienHafen district. First held in 2003, the race did not run from 2020 to 2024 and resumed in 2025 under organizer D.LIVE GmbH & Co. KG. It is a Boston Marathon qualifier and part of the AIMS international calendar.
