Race Info
The Half Marathon runs 13.1 miles on the paved Western Maryland Rail Trail in Hancock, Maryland, on the Sunday of race weekend. Runners start on South Pennsylvania Avenue, run 6.56 miles southwest toward Little Orleans, turn around and return to the same finish line. The trail follows an old railroad bed with a very gentle, nearly flat grade through Potomac River valley farmland, woods and small towns, alongside the C&O Canal. The course is USATF-certified.
