Race Info
The Wachau Marathon runs along the Danube River through Austria's Wachau valley, a UNESCO World Heritage wine-growing region. The full marathon starts in Emmersdorf and finishes in Krems an der Donau on a flat, World Athletics-certified route. A half marathon starts in Spitz an der Donau and an 11 km quarter marathon starts in Achleiten, both finishing alongside the full marathon in Krems. The race also includes a marathon relay and a Nordic Walking half marathon. It is organized by WACHAUmarathon GmbH.
