Warming up, watch for headwinds
Runners will face a temperature rise from 59°F at the start to 81°F by the finish. With a maximum wind of 6 mph, headwinds will be felt from miles 2-3 and again from miles 9-10, making those sections particularly challenging. Runners should adjust their pace accordingly, especially during the climbs at mile 11 and when facing headwinds, while taking advantage of the tailwinds between miles 5-8 and 13.
