Race Info
The San Sebastián Marathon runs through Donostia's old town and along La Concha Bay in Spain's Basque Country. First held in 1978, it is Spain's second-oldest marathon after Madrid's. The route starts on Calle Hernani near San Sebastián's city hall and finishes on the Boulevard after a flat, urban course through the Antiguo, Amara and Gros neighborhoods. The men's course record is 2:09:34, set by Kenya's Timothy Cherigat in 2002.
