About the River City Micro Marathon
The River City Micro Marathon is held each January at Point Mallard Park in Decatur, Alabama, near the Tennessee River. The marathon is run as six laps of a USATF-certified 7.03 km loop through the park, with aid stations about 2 and 4 miles into each lap and a 6-hour time limit. A 10K, a 5K and a marathon relay start the same morning, and net proceeds go to the Decatur High School track and field team.
