Portugal EDP 8K
Race Day Weather
Comfortable temps
Starting at 63°F, heat will be a factor from the gun — go out conservative and stay on top of hydration. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. High humidity (82%) will make it harder to cool down through sweat — increase fluid intake accordingly.

Race Info
The EDP 8K is a short point-to-point race of about 8.2 kilometers in Lisbon, held on the Sunday of Lisbon's October race weekend. It starts on the deck of the Vasco da Gama Bridge, the longest bridge in Europe, so runners and walkers cross the Tagus River on foot. After leaving the bridge the route follows the riverside to the finish at Parque das Nacoes, the former Expo 98 site. The route is mostly flat after the bridge, and it shares its start with the half marathon, which carries on into the city center.
