The course starts at Bayi Square and crosses the Gan River, linking the city's east and west banks. The race is a China Athletics Association Gold Label event and a World Athletics Elite Label race, and ranked 59th in the World Athletics 2024 global marathon rankings. The 2026 edition offers a marathon field of 20,000 runners and a half marathon field of 12,000.
