The Muddy River Half Marathon covers 13.1 miles through downtown Cape Girardeau on city streets and paved trails. The course is relatively flat and passes the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge, the Common Pleas Courthouse and Old St. Vincent's Church before finishing at the Mississippi riverfront. It is held on a Saturday in early May.
