Muddy River Marathon
Race Day Weather
Warm afternoon, adjust pace accordingly
Runners will face a temperature rise from 57°F at the start to a high of 72°F, with humidity around 69%. A steady wind from the SSW at 12 mph will provide some relief, but gusts up to 27 mph may challenge efforts. Adjusting pace and ensuring hydration will be crucial as temperatures climb.
The course highlights many landmarks in Cape Girardeau including the Bill Emerson Bridge, Common Pleas Courthouse, Dalhousie Golf Course, Old St. Vincent's Church and more, as well as finishing along the Missouri Wall of Fame Mural. The course is relatively flat utilizing roadways and paved trails. We hope you will spend the evening in Cape and celebrate your accomplishment. Proceeds benefit local non-profits who work to improve the health and wellbeing of those living in the region. Thanks to our sponsors and participants, we have been able to give over $70,000 to local non-profit's since the Muddy River Marathon's inception. In our fourth year we plan to continue expanding the beneficiaries around Southeast Missouri. Source
