Monument Valley Veterans Half Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential
A cool 43°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temperatures rising to 52°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing.

Race Info
The Monument Valley Half Marathon follows the graded dirt Valley Loop road through Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park on the Saturday of race weekend. The course starts and finishes in Arizona, drops steeply in the first mile and climbs back in the final mile. Runners pass beneath the park's red sandstone buttes on a mostly unpaved surface, so footing is firmer than the marathon's sandy backcountry sections but still not a road race.
