Race Info
The Monson Memorial Classic Half Marathon and 5K runs through Monson, Massachusetts each fall. The half marathon climbs through rolling rural roads for roughly the first ten miles, then drops downhill through the final five kilometers to the finish. The race was founded in 1996 in memory of sisters Kelly Waldron and Kathy Waldron Perry, who died eight months apart from cancer, and proceeds now benefit Griffin's Friends, a Springfield-area nonprofit that supports children with cancer and their families.
