The Modesto Half Marathon runs 13.1 miles through the tree-lined historic college neighborhoods of Modesto, past Modesto Junior College's west campus, and out into the surrounding orchard country. The course is flat and fast, and the start and finish sit a block apart in downtown Modesto. It is held on the Sunday of race weekend and is a popular first half marathon for walkers and newer runners.
