The Maratona Oficial de Belo Horizonte is a 42.195 km marathon in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, first run on May 17, 2026 after the Prefeitura de Belo Horizonte backed the city's return to hosting an official marathon following one-off races in 1992 and 1997. The route starts at Praça da Estação and finishes at Parque Municipal Américo Renné Giannetti, passing the Viaduto Santa Tereza, the Horto Florestal, and Arena MRV. A companion half marathon, a 5 km night run, and a kids' race run alongside it.
