Warm finish, steady winds ahead

Runners will face a temperature increase from 59°F at the start to 72°F by the finish, with average humidity at 61%. Light winds from the west will provide a tailwind during key segments, particularly from miles 15 through 27. Given the warm temperatures, it's advisable to start conservatively and focus on hydration, especially during the challenging climbs from miles 17 to 27.

Race Info

The Jungfrau-Marathon starts on the Hoeheweg in Interlaken, Switzerland, and finishes at the Eigergletscher station at 2,320 meters, below the north faces of the Eiger and Moench. The 42.195-kilometer course runs flat along Lake Brienz for the first 10 kilometers before climbing through Wilderswil, Lauterbrunnen and Wengen, gaining about 1,953 meters overall. First run in 1993, it draws roughly 4,000 entrants from more than 30 countries each September and enforces timed checkpoints at Wengen and the Wengernalp-Wixi junction to keep runners ahead of the mountain terrain.
