Race Info
The Itabashi City Marathon runs along the Arakawa riverbed in northern Tokyo, an out-and-back course starting and finishing upstream of Toda Bridge in Itabashi Ward with a turnaround near Arakawa Ohashi Bridge. The course is certified by the Japan Athletics Federation and authenticated by World Athletics as record-eligible, with a flat, minimal-elevation layout along the river levee. The marathon caps entries at 10,000 runners and sets a 7-hour course time limit. The 2027 race is the event's 30th edition.
