Race Info
The 10K at the Hoover Dam Marathon covers 6.2 miles on the paved River Mountains Loop Trail at Lake Mead National Recreation Area near Boulder City, Nevada. It starts and finishes at the Boulder Beach picnic area and follows the wide paved path beside Lakeshore Drive out through the Mojave Desert, turning around short of the Historic Railroad Tunnel Trail, then returns past the start for a short out-and-back in the other direction before the finish. The route stays on pavement, so it skips the packed dirt and tunnels that the half and full marathons run through.
