Race Info
The Gunsan Saemangeum International Marathon is a World Athletics Label race held each spring in Gunsan, South Korea, one of only three Korean marathons carrying that label alongside the Seoul Marathon and Daegu Marathon. The course starts and finishes at Gunsan's Wolmyeong Sports Complex, passing the Geumgang River estuary dam and Gunsan City Hall on a flat, fast route timed for cherry blossom season. Isaac Kipkemboi Too of Kenya set the men's course record of 2:07:15 at the 2026 edition. The race is a Boston Marathon qualifier.
