Daegu Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cold start — layer up, warming through the race
Runners will start in chilly 37°F conditions — dress in layers for the corral and plan to shed early. Temperatures rising to 51°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing.

Race Info
The Daegu Marathon is an annual marathon in Daegu, South Korea, first held in 2001. It holds World Athletics Gold Label status, the only race in South Korea with that ranking, after being promoted from Silver Label starting with the 2023 edition. Since 2024 the race has paid $160,000 in prize money to each male and female winner, among the largest purses in marathon racing. Past editions started at Daegu Stadium, but organizers were still reviewing a new course and starting point for the 2027 race as of mid-2026.
