Firenze Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential, warming through the race
A cool 41°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temperatures rising to 51°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 77% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
The Firenze Marathon starts and finishes in Piazza del Duomo, in the heart of Florence. The flat course crosses the Arno River, passes the Ponte Vecchio, and loops through Cascine Park and the Campo di Marte sports district before returning to the cathedral square. First run in 1984, it is one of Italy's largest marathons and an AIMS/World Athletics Label race; the 2025 edition set a participation record with more than 10,000 finishers. Estra, a Tuscan energy company, has been the title sponsor since the 2024 edition.
