Race Info
The City to the Sea Half Marathon is a point-to-point race in San Luis Obispo County, California, founded in 1995 by Running Warehouse founder Joe Rubio and local businessman Dale Anderson. The race starts at Mission Plaza in downtown San Luis Obispo and finishes at Avila Beach on the Pacific Ocean, following country roads and the Bob Jones Trail. A 5K was added in 2008 and starts separately at Avila Beach Resort. Proceeds benefit Cuesta College's Track & Field and Cross Country programs, which organize the event.
