Race Info
The Bizz Johnson Trail 50K starts at Mason Station near Westwood with a long out and back on McCoy Road before joining the Bizz Johnson Trail in Lassen National Forest. The trail follows the old Fernley and Lassen Branch Line railroad grade, climbing gently to Westwood Junction and then running downhill all the way to Susanville. In the Susan River Canyon runners pass orange cliffs, cross the river ten times on wooden railroad bridges and go through two former railroad tunnels near the end. It is a point-to-point course that finishes at Hobo Camp.
