Bears Ears Half Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cold start — layer up, warming through the race
Runners will start in chilly 37°F conditions — dress in layers for the corral and plan to shed early. Temperatures rising to 48°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing.

Race Info
The Half Marathon covers the second half of the Bears Ears Marathon course, starting just outside White Mesa, Utah, and finishing in Bluff. It is a point-to-point route on Highway 191 and other paved surfaces that drops off White Mesa into Recapture Pocket soon after the start, running alongside Bears Ears National Monument. Small rolling hills break up the middle miles before the last large descent through Cow Canyon into Bluff. The course loses nearly 1,000 feet overall and ends at the same finish line as the marathon.
