Starting at 60°F, heat will be a factor from the gun — go out conservative and stay on top of hydration. Temps will climb significantly to 77°F by later miles, so expect fading conditions as the race progresses. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 71% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
AthHalf is an annual half marathon and 5K held each October in Athens, Georgia, benefiting AthFest Educates, a nonprofit funding music and arts education grants for Clarke County schools. The 13.1-mile half marathon starts in downtown Athens, runs through the Boulevard, Normaltown, and Cobbham neighborhoods and the University of Georgia campus, and finishes on the field at Sanford Stadium. Local bands perform along the course.
