Good morning. It’s Medal Monday, November 20. We’re covering the Philadelphia Marathon results and the REVEL Big Bear Marathon.
Philadelphia Marathon
A cold start, per usual, saw thousands of runners and fast times at the 2023 Philadelphia Marathon on November 19, 2023. Bernard Kiptoo Koech (Eldoret, Ri) won the men's race with a time of 2:14:25 and Mercy Jerop Kwambi (Kapsabet, Na) took the women's prize in 2:30:52. The non-binary winner was Kassian Eaton, Somerville, MA, in 2:35:37.

REVEL Big Bear Marathon
The net downhill 2023 REVEL Big Bear Marathon took place on November 18th and had perfect weather, with the temperatures maxing out at just 62º later in the race. The overall men's race winner, Ian Sharman, crossed the line in 2:21:30. The women's race was won in 2:39:25 by Mary Christensen, coming in 11th overall.
