Race Info
Winter Trail Fest West is a half marathon and 5 mile trail race at Yankee Springs Recreation Area near Middleville, Michigan, held in February or early March with a noon start. Runners start at Deep Lake Campground and follow rolling singletrack on trails the park's other races rarely use, with a river crossing about half a mile from the finish and a 0.25-mile detour for those who want to stay dry. Conditions run from snow and ice to mud, and a ruck division races alongside the runners.
