White River Half Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential, warming through the race
A cool 45°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temperatures rising to 57°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 67% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
The White River Half Marathon starts at Cotter Schools and drops downhill for the first mile before turning onto an out-and-back course along the White River. Runners turn around near the 6-mile mark and return most of the way back before finishing at Big Spring Park, so the start and finish are in different places. The final two miles run on a compacted and fine gravel pathway and the rest of the route is asphalt. The course is USATF-certified, flat and mostly downhill overall.
