Race Info
The VChallenges Bogota Marathon is the first 42-kilometer marathon held entirely within the city of Bogotá, Colombia, first run December 1, 2024. The out-and-back course starts and finishes near the Obelisco Virgilio Barco monument in the Salitre area of Teusaquillo, at roughly 2,600 meters of altitude, and is certified by World Athletics as flat and fast, with about 81 meters of cumulative elevation gain. It is a Boston Marathon qualifier; 172 runners earned Boston qualifying times at the 2025 edition. Race weekend also includes 32K and 21K distances on the same course network, all starting at 6:30 a.m.
