Tidewater Strider Marathon (Spring Edition)
Race Day Weather
Comfortable temps, rain likely
Mild 54°F temps at gun time mean comfortable early miles without overheating risk. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Rain is likely — waterproof your phone and bib, and consider a disposable poncho for the corral. High humidity (92%) will make it harder to cool down through sweat — increase fluid intake accordingly.

Race Info
The Tidewater Strider Marathon and Half Marathon Spring Edition runs each April on the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail in Chesapeake, Virginia, starting and finishing near mile post 4 of the trail. The marathon covers two out-and-back loops of the flat, USATF-certified 6.55-mile trail; the half marathon covers one loop. Find My Marathon ranks it the fastest marathon in Virginia and the 52nd-fastest nationally. It is organized by the Tidewater Striders, a Hampton Roads running club founded in 1972, on the same trail as the club's separate December Dismal Swamp Marathon weekend.
