Thumb Coast Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential, moderate wind
A cool 42°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temperatures rising to 51°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Moderate winds around 13mph may affect pacing on open sections of the course. Moderate humidity at 68% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.
This event offers a flat, fast, USATF-certified course stretching across Michigan’s Thumb. The Marathon is a Boston Qualifier, and both the Marathon and Half will include pace teams from Beast Pacing to help you stay on track. Starting in Caseville and finishing in downtown Port Austin, this point-to-point race combines speed, scenery, and small-town charm—making it the perfect fall race-cation. Source
