Stony Creek 30K
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential, big temp swing, moderate wind, rain likely
A cool 50°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temps will climb significantly to 74°F by later miles, so expect fading conditions as the race progresses. Moderate winds around 13mph may affect pacing on open sections of the course. Rain is likely — waterproof your phone and bib, and consider a disposable poncho for the corral. Moderate humidity at 68% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
The 30K at Stony Creek Metropark is three complete loops around Stony Creek Lake on the paved Hike/Bike Path, starting and finishing at Baypoint Beach. The course is scenic and slightly rolling, with classic Michigan fall color along the shoreline. It is the longest distance of the Sunday race weekend and a common long run before fall marathons. The approach to the finish includes about 200 meters of groomed limestone and grass trail.
